This early creamer from Wilcox Silverplate was manufactured in Meriden, Conn. in the late 1800s. Beautifully ribbed base and lid are complemented by a delicate scrollwork handle. Marked on the bottom with the full circle and crossed hammers that were used prior to the 1920s. Most of the silver is gone, giving this piece a nice pewter look, but it could be well worth replating and restoring since this piece is completely intact with no cracks or breaks at all in the metal and a fully functional lid and hinge. An excellent piece of early metalwork.
