Art Deco button with a metal base that hold a Bakelite half-disk and another half that contains 35 handset rhinestones. By handset I mean that the metal is pushed slightly over the rhinestones to keep them firmly in place. The Bakelite is attached to the metal through two nail-like pieces from the back. The soldered metal shank still holds a few pieces of thread from the original garment. This is a great old button that is perfect for your button collection or for adding to a purse or one-piece suit. A lot of work went into this very-well-made button. It is in excellent condition!
