1906 Wiesbaden Der Kochbrunnen postcard. Der Kochbrunnen means 'the cooking well' or 'the chef fountain' or 'the cooking fountain'. Built in 1913 during the reign of Kaiser Friedrich of Prussia, this spa was used by royalty and the gentry for healing purposes. Postcard had darkened edges and corners from residing under album mounts, as well as some corner wear. The divided back has two SON bullseye cancels over the 5 deutsches mark stamps, postmarked from Weisbaden. The color and composition in this early postcard is quite attractive.
