Pre-owned WWII American Campaign medal, authorized by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on November 6, 1942 to commemorate service given by Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard personnel who served for a period of one year anytime between Dec. 7, 1941 and March 2, 1946 under certain conditions within the geographic location known as the "American Theater". This medal is made of bronze and is 1 1/4" wide. The front of the medal depicts a Navy cruiser, a B-24 airplane and a sinking enemy submarine, with a light background depicting a few buildings that are said to represent the arsenal of democracy. The reverse bears an American bald eagle, the dates 1941 - 1945 and the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
