RARE Northwood Glass Jewel and Flower Tumbler. A wonderful opalescent and gold flashed glass tumbler manufactured by Northwood Glass Co., Wheeling, WV in 1904. The original name for this tumbler was No. 19 Encore. The blue version of this tumbler is shown on page 117 of Glass Tumblers 1860s to 1920s. This tumbler is clear with an opaline rim, a scallop design and an embossed design that is gold flashed. It measures 3" across the top and 4" high. The bottom is 2 3/4". It is weighty, with a ridged base. A beautiful example of early glass. Absolutely no chips or cracks. There is one small manufacturing bubble near the rim.
