20 x 28 Joseph L. Wantz hand signed and numbered artist proof titled Hanover Shoe Farms which depicts a row of seven horses at the fence with a barn structure behind them. Highly detailed, rich in color and ready for framing. Made from an original painting that was created in 1978. The proof also shows the artist's name and date of creation as it appeared in the lower left hand corner of the original. A copyright notice appears in the lower left corner and the title is in the lower center. Please note that these artist proofs have been well cared for and are clean with a bright white border. COA is included. The original edition consisted of 950 prints and 50 Artist Proofs. Printed on 100 lb. Acid-free cotton paper with fade-resistant ink.

"Joseph L. Wantz was a realist painter for more than 60 years. Self-taught, his God-given talent was evident at childhood. A versatile artist, his painting and prints are appreciated in homes and businesses throughout the United States. Through the years, Mr. Wantz won numerous awards. He was commissioned to paint for several business corporations including The Nolan Company and Amusements of America. He painted extensively for the State of Maryland, Defenders of Wildlife, and private collectors. The subjects of Mr. Wantz's paintings are often reminiscent of people, scenes, and events in and around Maryland and southern Pennsylvania where he resided for most of his life. His paintings show his interest in the local people and places that inspired him."
