1950s Sabin Industries dinner plate featuring a Colonial couple and measuring 10" across. I have seen this place with a scalloped edge, but have not seen the unscalloped plate anywhere. There are no chips or cracks or crazing, although there are a few imperfections that occurred during the glazing and firing process. This was not unusual for the time and does not detract from the look of the plate.
Sabin Industries was a McKeesport, Pennsylvania china and glass manufacturer from the mid 1960s through the 1970s, though the company was purchased by by several companies during that time. In her U.S. Marks on Pottery, Porcelain and Clay resource book, Lois Lehner notes that these dishes had a "great amount of gold trim so widely sought after today." The mark on the back of this plate is shown in Lehner's book.
