A great pair of Marboux earrings. Marboux was the name that Marcel Boucher used in 1937, when he was just starting out on his own. Prior to that, he designed for Cartier and the Mazer brothers! These circular goldplated swirls are topped by a flourish of rhinestones and a pearl, possibly simulated. Clipbacks, they measure 1". Both earrings are marked Marboux on the back. There is one rhinestone missing, which I can replace if you wish. They also need a gentle cleaning, which I will also be happy to do. (Please note that, because of lighting, the pearls look much darker than they really are.) A great pair of vintage costume jewelry earrings for wear or for your collection.
