Children's Book: Honey Bunch: Her First Little Treasure Hunt, published in 1937 by Grosset & Dunlap, NY. Reportedly the first in the series that was written by Helen Louise Thorndyke, a pen name for Mildred A. Wirt Benson. Illustrated by Marie Schubert. Produced by the Stratemeyer Syndicate, a firm which also produced the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew books. Main characters in the books were "a dainty, thoughtful girl" named Honey Bunch and her friend Norman. Age range 4 to 8 years old. The series ran from 1923 until 1955. Hardcover with a red cloth binding and blue and white illustrated boards. Top page edges are tinted red. Dustjacket is full color and has small clean tears on front and bends and smaller tears on lower edge in back. Light soiling on dustjacket and rear endpages. Illustration has been mostly spared damage. Binding and spine are in excellent condition, with black impressed type on front and spine. Pages are nice and clean, with light edge discoloration and a few pages have impressions, but no tears. Overall VG++.
