Fancy vintage WMF Ikora silverplate on copper dishes with openwork rims. WMF was a German company that started producing in the 1880s in Geislingen, Germany and continues to create kitchenware and flatware today, although many of today's items are stainless rather than silverplate. The fancier of the two dishes is footed and measures 5 3/4" across and 1 1/2" high and shows some wear to the silverplate. The flatter of the two has a triangular design around the rim and measures 5 7/8" across. This piece still bears the full WMF Ikora label, which has the number 9017 printed on the label. Both pieces have the WMF backstamp and are marked WMF Ikora Germany Silverplate. Fine pieces for your silverplate holloware collection!
