This open edition steelworkers mug was designed after Bethlehem Steel announced the closing of their plant in Bethlehem, PA. It was created to honor all the steelworkers who have helped, through their labors, to build this nation over the years.
This open edition mug measures 3 7/8" high and has a white background and a black silhouette of Bethlehem's blast furnaces. The words "A Tribute to Our Steelworkers" are in white. The side of the mug is marked with the artist name and copyright.
Produced in 1999 and copyrighted by the artist and proprietor of Yesterdays Jewels, whose father was a steelworker for 33 years. More than 500 open edition mugs have been sold locally through art shows, local shops and at the main offices of Bethlehem Steel's Martin Tower. They have also been sold nationally through Ebay auctions for the last year, and will now be offered regularly here at Yesterdays Jewels. This is a great gift for the steelworker and a fitting memento of your loved one and their labors.
